Dear brother and sister,
When a human being gets angry he becomes anger himself due to the absence of the awareness at that time. Vrutti of anger engulfs him and he turns into the anger. There is no balanced mind or detachment (તટસ્થતા) from the anger at such times. Similarly if we forget ourselves and surroundings during meditation or get immersed in the bhava of bhajan (devotional songs); but if we fail to be detached or keep balanced mind then we will get trapped in the bhava pervading at the time and our progress will stop. For that reason we need to develop detachment from our field of action. It is important for the sadhak to be aware and careful of this fact. Then only he will progress fast.
Now in the worldly affairs if there is anger or there is certain habits and there is a tendency of insistence; just as the habit of anger takes hold of him, the insistence of his views and facts also takes hold of him and prevents his progress further. Such vrutties also prevent him from seeing and accepting far reaching independent opinions. For this reason sadhak should never keep insistence of his opinion in anything and anywhere. He needs to divert and train his mind to accomplish this.
