FINDING THE WAY FROM DIFFICULTIES (3)

You wrote me that, leaving the activities of Prakruti leads to inertia and instead of developing the art of the Karma it leads to no karma or dullness in the Karma; but as long as there is Prakruti, human being has a body and as long as there is Prakruti, the body continues to perform the Karmas. Only the form of the Karma changes when one advances in Sadhana. Even then, one continues to perform physical Karmas as long as one has a body. Of course it is possible that such Karmas may appear trivial in the eyes of the world. Otherwise why would Pujya Gandhiji say, that in his eyes the work of Prime minister and the person who cleans the streets have same value if the work is done appropriately? So, even if the Sadhak is using all his energy in performing the work in a very small field compared to the field earlier, it affects the world effectively and its totality. It is possible that the world may not be able to appreciate the results. This is because he uses all of his energy that is produced as a result of his concentration and focus in the work. The work of the Chief of the army affects the whole army but it may not be appreciated as much as the work of a soldier that is more visible but affects only small area of action. Our views about the meaning of expertise in the Karma, value of the Karma and the ideas about inertia will change. Know that this will surely happen.
