The understanding of all the circumstances depend on the condition of the mind. If the mind is cranky even the good things are perceived many times as bad things. Almost everything depends on the mind. It is the condition of the mind that interprets the information or meaning of incident as good or bad. So it is in the interest of the sadhak to keep the mind in proper shape.
