SANSAR (2)

 PURPOSE OF BEING IN SANSAR.

Always be happy. Sansar is not given to us for drowning in it. It is also not given for living in the atmosphere of troubles, conflicts and just living in the atmosphere of Sansar. It is given to us for visualizing its diversity and measure.

We need not live in Sansar for the sake of Sansar. We need to live in Sansar with His grace so that we pass through Sansar. We should not become like rigid machine in the routine of Sansar. It will keep on going as rigid machine, but we should not become like rigid machine. Anything done rigidly will loose its essence. So, do not let anything become routine. Managing is one thing and routine is another thing. There is lot of difference between the two. Sometimes, human being manages for a while and then again makes it a routine. We do not need to do that. Whatever keeps on happening, there should be active and dancing Bhavna of life in it. It is very necessary to express understanding and knowledge of life in our Bhavna of life. Work of Sansar continues constantly from dawn to the time we sleep. We should not engage ourselves in this like other Sansari Jivas.  We need to please our Dear Prabhu with our work. So we need to do the work in the best of manner and offer it as Prasadi at the holy feet of Shree Bhagwan. Would we offer Prasadi as a gift in half - hazard manner?

SANSAR (1)

By visualizing subtlety in gross Sansar, fructify the purpose of Sansar.

Construction of Sansar and the world is made with duality. So, if our mind, intellect or Prana take interest in it, it is very difficult to bring them back. For this reason, we should understand, what is the purpose of everything? Why is everything present? If we try to understand and work to find purpose behind it successfully, such incidents are beneficent to the Jiva. Things like injustice, insults or ignoring us can happen in life; why is this happening to us? What is the purpose behind it? If we can think like this and enter the issue subtly rather than grossly, we would achieve our goal. We have to think about the purpose of living? Why should we get entangled in the minor matters? Know for sure, that if there is any fault in this matter, it is the fault of our Nature. What will happen when you will be gripped by big issues in future? There will be a big show. So, prevent the Jiva repeatedly, from this happening and engage the mind in only Smaran-Bhavna of Chetan. Know in your heart that this is everything and powerful and it is worth doing. Be alive in your heart and be strong. You should not give in or become overwhelmed by anything.

This Sansar is for living and progressing in life. Purpose of Sansar is not to be bound by it but to be free from it. We are born as human being not for being bound by Sansar but to be free from it. We need not leave the Sansar to be free from it. We need to stay in Sansar not being bound by it, but by being free from it.

HOW CAN WE EXPERIENCE NON-DUALITY?

Duties of dealings in Sansar and duties in progress of life, cannot be the same. People always keep the view point of duality in dealings of Sansar. Duties in the progress of life is non dual. We have accepted the duties of the Sansar, meaning we have accepted the duties with non-duality. So, we should get some hesitance in our within if we experience any kind of duality. Wherever we experience duality, it is the death of life. When we experience in our thoughts, vrutties, feelings, Bhavna, Bhava, in physical and in subtle, in all relationships, behavior and actions, dealings with heartfelt sincerity, one interest and oneness; then only it is considered that there is complete realization of the duties of life. This means, if we behave with vision, vruttie and tendency of the one with whom we want to be one, with awareness and knowledge at every moment; we will definitely feel that in our heart like a prick if there is any duality. Any human being will wake up with this kind of feeling of prick in the heart. Whoever still feels that there is duality, his vision is not open towards non duality.

EXPRESS NON-DUALITY FROM DUALITY

Sansari Jivas give more importance to duality in the dealings of Sansar. For this reason, they do not achieve stage of Aananda (genuine happiness). The root cause for the absence of Aananda in Sansar, is in duality. People with Jiva nature in Sansar believe in increasing duality. Only occasional Jiva in Sansar can change from duality to non duality. So, we need to become such a Jiva. Where ever there is duality, we need to see, understand and refuse to act in that manner. Even if we have little tendency of increasing duality, this will keep increasing and we will never be able to become non-dual (with one Bhava). Whole Sansar is trapped to act with duality. For this reason, justice-injustice seems to be experienced everywhere. Justice-Injustice is possible only when there are two sides. So everything works with duality. For this reason, by the grace of God, we need to act everywhere by removing duality. Where there are no two sides, there is no question of choosing any one side. There is no duality at the root of fundamental practicality of life. Non-duality prevails there. If there is duality, where will be the possibility of Aananda to last, survive, spread and flourish? Aananda can express only in non duality. It is not possible to experience the true form of God Shiva without the stage of non duality. So, where ever we find or comprehend duality or it springs up on its own, we have to think and act regarding finding the ways to remove it with knowledge and devotion.

We do not want to get separated from anyone in our path of Life. We are here to remove all kind of differences. We have to unite heart with the heart and create the life where there is expression of Bhava of non- duality in our actions in life. For this reason, I have taken duality as a tool to express non duality. We need to express duality into non-duality.

INTENSE AND LONGTERM PRACTICE ( ઉપાસના ) OF NON DUALITY ( અભેદ)

Nothing happens independently in our lives. The root cause of whatever happens is mainly our Karmas; if we can express this in our experiences with knowledge and Chetna-energy, then only it is possible to experience that Bhagwan is omnipresent.

In this world, every element is in the form of non-duality. So whatever happens is because of us only. We need to understand that root cause is within us and we need to deal with the work with that in mind. Then only this work does not become our bondage. The Karmas will not touch us only when we keep Bhavna, vruttie, awareness and knowledge according to that work and offer it to Bhagwan. We should not behave according the direction and kind of work. That is not our duty. We have to swim in the opposite direction.

Sadhak needs to add Bhavna in all his Karmas. As he develops energy, inspiration and Bhavna from Sadhana, this Bhavna must be suffused in all the Karmas. As for example when Sadhak has increased Bhavna of devotion, there will be increase in Bhava of Love; he needs to extend this Lova-Bhava in the people that have come in his contact on their own, because of circumstances of his Karmas, destiny or with purpose. Then only we will have the gauge of the strength of this Bhava of love. Sadhak just cannot stay uni directional, he has taken up the work to bring omni present great Prabhu within him. If he wants to touch the expression of Maha-Prabhu, he must be inspired to express the Bhavna that is generated from his Sadhana, towards everyone that have come in his contact because of destiny, with Love-Bhava. This means, he should not keep vision and vruttie as if they are only for the relatives. They are already there. He needs to embrace everyone with knowledge and awareness while keeping his gorgeous Bhavna. He needs to do everything in his work, devotion, knowledge and meditation, for the success of the aim of his life. He does not need to take care of anyone. By keeping such Dharna, Sadhak has no possibility of any kind of disappointment. The reason being, he will try to find the root cause of disappointment within himself. This is called practicing non-duality. Know that, with this Upasana, Sadhak gets the experience that he is the root cause of the problems of life. Sadhak has no time to find faults of others. At this time, we get concentrated in the Bhavna of Sadhana.

PURPOSE OF THE EXTERNAL SADHANA

 1) Even though we feel that we are different, we are one with everyone; anyone who keeps such Bhava constantly is the experienced one.

2) Whenever something (especially not likable) happens he will try hard to look for the cause within himself. This process is the practice of non-duality. Know that, constantly practicing this for a long period of time, Sadhak experiences that he is the root of the world.

3) Whatever we thought, gave a shape, experienced and stored as Sanskars before this birth,          takes shape and are expressed. They are of many varieties. This is due to the varieties of Sanskars.

4) All the Sansar is because of us, it is within us and whatever is outside is also not separate from us. If we have such living, lively and heartfelt awareness within us, then our Swajans and relationships in Sansar are not separate from us, but are the factual forms of our own Karma's relationship.

5) Whole Sansar is stuck in the relationship of being separate from each other (ભેદ). By the grace of God, we need to forget being separate from each other. Genuine happiness is possible only when there is no difference in each other (અભેદ). We must feel heartfelt uneasiness when we see or feel separateness from others. Wherever there is separateness, there is death of the life.

6) Love-Bhava of heart leads to unification of the hearts, and there is expression of Bhava of Oneness.

7) Whatever happens in Sansar, we are the base of it. It is not in others. Others are just the  Nimitta.

8) Sansar never attaches us, we get attached to Sansar.

9) Out side Sansar and events are only the expressed form of within.

10) We can not let go of given Dharma. Sansar is the boat of salvation to float (and not sink) from Vrutties.

WORKS IN SANSAR AS SADHANA

Sadhak should not let go all the activities of Sansar and at the same time not accept any work for no reason. We need to accept the work, only to the extent of our relevance, need, consultation and advice.

Other work is treated as if it does not exist in our mind, meaning we need to keep separateness with balanced mind. Looking from another angle, everything is present because of the mind only. If we examine ourselves with balanced mind, without attachments and infatuations, we will realize that we got interested in many items with which we had nothing to do and were meaningless to us. We need to engage our mind minimaly in dealings of the world, only to the extent of the need and appropriate responsibility; and that also till the completion of the work. Minimal use of the mind does not mean that the work is considered with the Vruttie that the work is not important. It is best if we do the work as if we are doing the work for Bhagwan. We also need to be careful that we do not impose our ideas on others forcefully. We should continue doing the work that is our responsibility with our best viewpoint and our understanding at that time.

SANSAR — EXPRESSED BHAVA OF BHAGWAN (2)

Since Sansar is an expressed Bhava of Prabhu, it is an element of Sadhana.

Remember this Vahaalo (Dear one, Bhagwan) constantly by any means while doing any and all kind of works. I consider Sansar as the expressed form of Bhagwan. Just as our Home-Sansar, children is our own reflection, whole universe is the expression of Vahala Prabhu. By His grace, we have received body, Sansar etc., as tools for better understanding Him.

Prabhu-Bhava in everything

He meets us in different people in different ways and forms, so that we can experience His love for us. Whoever meets us because of karma-destiny, are also His different forms. So, know that we will be able to get free from the clutches of vrutties of duality only if we keep awareness to consider them as Bhagwan and interact with them with such attitude. For this reason, we should never interact with them negatively since all of them are different forms of Bhagwan. If we feel contrary about someone because of our Jiva-Nature and feel that we have ignored Dear Bhagwan and feel grief and repentance, know that it will be possible for us to develop Bhava of refuge in the lotus-feet of Shree Bhagwan. Such a thing does not happen at once. It is not possible to do this without long and constant practice.

SANSAR — EXPRESSED BHAVA OF BHAGWAN (1)

Sansar is given to us to receive the knowledge of the development of the life of human being. When the human being is caught up in the grip of Sansar, he does not comprehend anything other than Sansar. If we want to know or have complete visualization of something, we cannot accomplish this without being separate from it or going above it. So, the mind will ask, how can we separate from Sansar? Quitting the Sansar does not lead to being separate from it. Purpose of Sansar is to fructify the life. Just letting go of Sansar, the mind of Sansari person does not stop thinking about Sansar. For this reason, consider that work of our life has matured  if we become alert, conscious and maintain equanimity in the vrutties developing at the time of understanding the Sansar. So, Sansar has bestowed this holy grace on us. How can we ignore it. Sansar is the expressed form of Bhagwan; so our work is to make possible to change the view point of our mind towards Sansar. Many dualities like good and bad, moral and immoral, true and false are present since eternity and they are going to stay for eternity. It is a different matter if they get more or less during different times. So, if the Jiva stops giving importance to these dualities in the mind and heart, and instead tries to focus mind and heart in the Dharana (mental retention) of the Bhagwan with living and lively awareness, the Jiva will have knowledge that all the incidents in Sansar are for inspiring knowledge within us.

DEALINGS OF WORLD AND SADHAK.

So many questions arise in the dealings with Sansar and if we start to solve all of them, we will get entangled in it! At the same time, if there is a question in the mind and if we do not get satisfactory resolution, the unresolved question will stay the same. So, we need to try and resolve whatever is the issue, meaning there is no unresolved issue in the mind. We need not be careless to the society and also should not develop such vruttie. There should not be such awareness in our heart; but we should be aware that we solve the problems of the world in proportion to the manner we finish the assigned work. In spite of that, if some feelings persist, use prayers to remove such feelings, or make an effort to satisfy such feelings in any appropriate way and remove it.

SADHAK AND THE WORLD

We need to keep this in mind that we are the debtor of the world, world is not our debtor. If we get a chance to do any work for the world, consider it as our good luck. In reality, we help ourselves when we help the world. Human being knows and serves the world in proportion to knowing and serving the self. We should not ignore the world, in the process of knowing and helping ourselves.

SOLUTION OF PROBLEMS OF THE WHOLE FROM ITS PORTION (2).

Many questions and many kind of the problems of the world are asking for their own solutions. We need not become impatient to solve these problems. We need to keep clarity of the mind and patience but at the same time we should never ignore the problems. There is always great and many times urgent demands for the solution of many kinds of questions and problems. The Jiva who tries to solve confusion, troubles, questions and puzzles in his life with steadiness, patience, true understanding (that life will move forward in the evolution), balanced mind, sense of discretion, and understanding the purpose behind it; receives the clarity about the solution of the problems. Know for sure that this Jiva receives the key to solve the problems of the world with clarity.

The Jiva who negates his life, who does not understand his life throughly, who can not develop his life appropriately and has no ambition to experience the life in its entirety; can never solve the problems of the world.

SOLUTION OF PROBLEMS OF THE WHOLE FROM ITS PORTION (1)

Sadhana of the life is not separate from the life itself. Just as we cannot separate certain period of life from entire life or we cannot completely separate certain mood or any other aspect of life from entire life; we cannot separate Sadhana from life.

It is a fallacy to believe that we have nothing to do with world, and world will take care of its own problems. Every person or Jiva is associated with other Jivas of the world. Practically, no one can be separated from others. Even though, it can be understood that we can be absorbed in Sadhana-life and may seem to be not connected to others. It is due to nondevelopment of the vruttie of settlement of the solution (even at this time, we cannot deny that any such situation may arise in life). It is also not proper to believe or imagine or understand that world is separate from us. We must stay aware that we are in the world and we are one part of the world.

WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF EXTERNAL SADHANA?

I consider actions performed with understanding that helps us in the practical dealings with Sansar as a part of Sadhana. Just as inner Sadhana is authoritative and reliable, external sadhana is also authoritative from the view point of practical application in Sansar. So, we need to behave in society accordingly.

Whenever you receive any kind of suggestion from others, divide it as essential and non essential (useful or not useful). Whenever something is told or suggested, if there is no gain (meaning there is no lessening of our Bhavna) or objection, accept it right away and perform the task right away. Ordinarily there is visualization or expression of mind's insistence, likings, attachments, possession etc., in deciding to do the work or not to do the work. If you want to get rid of all these, you must have heartfelt enthusiasm to believe and accept directions from others. The result of the particular work truly depends upon our attitude and purpose while performing the work. It also depends on our understanding and awareness while performing the work.

SADHANA WHILE LIVING IN SANSAR.

IN THE BEGINNING, START THE SADHANA FROM OUTSIDE.

Whenever we do something or when something happens, its effect is felt internally or externally. Nothing is not related. Everything is connected with one another. So, sadhana needs to be done both ways, within and externally. It takes time to do such sadhana within. We cannot just sit around till that time. We need to do sadhana from outside so that it has effect within. Mainly, we need to be alert and aware in the mind with mind, and weed (remove unwanted) thoughts, vrutties, feelings and sentiments that are contrary to the central aspiration of the goal of our life. We should not encourage them and do weeding with knowledge. Such weeding is very necessary.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF EXTERNAL SADHANA?

* I tell to anyone who comes to me 'Be faithful to Karmas (work) that are received by you. If you cannot be faithful to the Karmas that are received by you, if you cannot love or create Bhava for the people - Jivas that surround you in Sansar; how are you going to love or create Bhava for Bhagwan? Impossible.

* It is a fallacy to believe that, we have nothing to do with the world and the world will take care of itself. For sure, every individual or Jiva is connected to other Jivas in the world.

* We solve the problems of the world, in proportion to the manner in which we accomplish our work.

* We have to remember that we are indebted to the world, world is not indebted to us.

* How can we ignore the Sansar (worldly affairs)? Sansar is the expressed Bhava of Bhagwan. For this reason, we should never hate anyone.

* They all meet us in different forms in Sansar-world, for experiencing love of ए. People who meet us because of Karma- destiny are also different forms of Him.

* We definitely should not mix completely or be swept away with people related to us or people who have come in contact recently. At the same time, we have to interact with them in such a way that they are not offended and interact with us appropriately. This will make our lives easier.

* It is one kind of Sadhana and Bhakti (devotion), if our lives are shaped by developing heartfelt Bhava of Goodness and Bhavna of heartfelt Harmony towards the Jivas who have come in our contact.

ORDER OF THE TOOL FOR SADHANA (3)

Whoever wants to experience that on one side there is strong desire for the development of life and on the side there is feeling that he is being pushed in the right direction, must direct mind, intellect, prana, chitta and ego in the direction of practicing such tools regularly and for a long time. On the other side, there must be awareness to be free from attachments-hate, sexual desires, anger etc.,

Without being free of insistences and attachments,

True knowledge will never be experienced.

This means, on one side there is expression of living, creative and conscious Bhava with heartfelt sincerity and on the other side we are engaged in the work of reducing Attachment-hate, work of progress of life speeds up.

So they mentioned Smaran, prayers and self-narration (Atma-Nivedan). We can use all these tools easily. In the beginning, we can start with Smaran, even Smaran is hard in the beginning. After a while, with practice we develop the awareness of the purpose in Smaran. From this, we develop understanding regarding the method of doing Prayers, as for example; When I woke up today or while working, "Prabhu, this Vruttie was an obstacle, these things happened." If there is difficulty in Sansar, I would pray accordingly. We can take the help of intellect to take care of the difficulty that may arise while working but with that we can also do prayers. What is the purpose behind the prayer? If we do self-narration or prayers frequently, we can create psychic contact with Him. It takes a while to create the habit, may be you can do it fifty- sixty time a day. This creates a link with Him. For this reason, prayer is a very important tool to create link with Him with awareness. Depth in prayers develop slowly and when there is increase in Bhava, we become worry less and relaxed after prayers. We feel as if there is no load on our head and prayers are done with Bhava. We get the solution of our problems and difficulties.

When there is heartfelt cooperation and engagement of our mind, intellect, chitta and prana, Bhavna of offering develops. Presently we just talk, but true offering is not done. Only when these become active and cooperative, true offering can be done.

ORDER OF THE TOOL FOR SADHANA (2)

Shreyarthi (spiritual aspirant) who wants to progress in the spiritual life must develop certain good virtues that are mentioned in the Chapter of 16 of holy Gita. It is surety that, without developing these virtues, it is not possible to take further steps in the path of progress of life. It is not possible to judge individually how much time it will take to develop  certain virtue. It is also difficult. If one virtue is being developed to its best level, other related virtues also develop. The reason being, nothing is separate and everything is connected with each other. It is better to develop Bhakti-Bhavna than develop individual virtue. The reason being, with Bhakti (devotion) there is abundance of Bhavna of Bhakti. When this Bhakti-Bhav is established in the heart with heartfelt-sincerity, it becomes active and effective thus leading to development of virtues. When deep interest and its effects are established in Bhakti, it encourages higher development and progress of the body and its parts (including organs of action and knowledge).

Beginning of the Bhakti is done by using the tools like Naam-Smaran, Japa, Mantra (incantation), Prayers, Bhajan- Kirtan, Atm-nivedan (self-narration). It can also be done by, Practice of visualization of Shree Bhagwan in heart with heartfelt sincerity and keeping Him in  front of you with the littlest cause and keeping resulting Bhavna centered in heart. Bhakti also cannot be done without affection. Bhagwan does not tell us to do Smaran, prayers, Bhajan-Kirtan etc., He does not care for such things. These tools are practiced so that our inner senses turn towards Shri Bhagwan. Even here, without developing continuity in the practice of tools, Sadhak is never able to affect all senses, inner implements and such other centers in the body.

CHOOSING THE TOOL FOR SADHANA (1)

NEED FOR THE CONTINUITY OF ANY ONE  TOOL

The Jiva who wants to progress in life always stays alert, not only for the self but also for others. Jiva who has expressed the Bhavna that he wants to progress in life, such a Jiva can remain completely alert and aware in all his work, tendencies, behavior, feelings, bhavna etc. Only when the Jiva is aware, he can be alert and think appropriately. We need some kind of special tool so that the we can keep such knowledge - awareness increasingly in our base factually and clearly. This tool is useful only if there is continuity, concentration and focus with knowledge and Bhava in its use. It may happen occasional that Jiva gains awareness at some blessed instance but we cannot say that his eye of understanding has opened. This can happen when the Bhava of Jiva may have expressed in something but such awareness (that is limited and without continuity), cannot do the work of progress in life. Know that, it is possible to keep strict watch in the heart by the heart only if there is constant awareness and the tool that produces awareness, is kept alive with love, devotion and knowledge.

STEPS OF SADHANA (5)

What is the deeper meaning of awareness of the purpose? When the intellect takes part in the process only then it is possible to keep this awareness of the purpose. It is not possible to keep awareness if there is no association of the intellect. This means, intellect is associated with Prana, and since Prana is associated with intellect; ego also gets attached to it and this provides the force for the action. When mind gets concentrated, it also joins them leading to lessening of the thought and opposing thought (sankalp-vikalp). Then what happens is, there is lessening of the forces of Prakruti (nature). This is minimal like 5 to 8 points out of a million at every time there is focused attention (Akagrata). Our liking for this practice increases since our mind and other inner implements ( intellect, prana, ego etc) experience peace during that time. This can be accepted by the intellect. Grip of Prakruti becomes minimally reduced on us (like a grain of rice, compared to Himalaya mountains). By this practice the hold of prakruti on us gets to be less, and then we develop deep interest (Rasa) in this process. This happens because deep interest is the main characteristic of Atma. After experiencing deep interest, it becomes automatic and we do not have to make any efforts. In this way, while practicing the tool, we develop many Gunas (Good characteristics) like surety, relaxed mood, fearlessness, strength and determination.

STEPS OF SADHANA (4)

We need to understand, what is the higher purpose than Prakruti in our Sadhana when we use a particular tool. It may not be in our immediate consideration but the work is inert if we cannot keep awareness of it. It is essential to keep awareness of the purpose to prevent the work from being inert. Then certain tools were suggested including japa, naam-smaran, prayers, Bhajan - Kirtan, reading holy books, performing good work, doing good of others etc. Continue doing all these. All these are ordinary things.

All these tools are not such that we can experience Chetan quickly by using them. At the same time, they are higher than Prakruti. If we can increase time of using these tools and there is presence of concentration, we develop instant comprehension automatically regarding the use of other needed tools. There is no need to ask anyone. As we develop liking for the subjects higher than Prakruti, our concentration in these subjects also increases. There is also increase in the time used for such activities. We develop increased interest in the subjects higher than Prakruti and at the same time our interest in the activities of Sansar (like helping family to run the household that we did earlier) will be diminished. Our liking for the interest in the subjects higher than Prakruti will increase since we have determined the aim of our life commiserate with these subjects. We are using certain tools so that there is liveliness and increased progress in our Sadhana. We must have this awareness of the purpose of using the tools.
